Terms of Service
Effective October 26, 2026
These terms govern your use of aegisfinancial.net and the Aegis rep portal (together, the "Services"), operated by Child Holdings LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as Aegis Financial ("Aegis," "we," "us"). By applying, creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy & Security Policy.
Who can use the Services
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. Information you give us must be true and current.
Applying is not a job offer
Submitting an application does not create an employment, agency or contractor relationship. Aegis representatives work as independent contractors on a commission-only basis under separate written agreements. Any income or commission figures on the site are illustrative, are not a promise or guarantee of earnings, and depend on each person's effort, skill and market. You must hold a valid state insurance license and any required appointments before soliciting or selling insurance.
Your portal account
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, misuse the Services, or belong to people no longer with Aegis.
Training and exam-prep content
Lessons, study guides, quizzes and practice exams are educational tools only. They are not legal advice, are not affiliated with or endorsed by any state department of insurance or exam provider, and do not guarantee you will pass a licensing exam. State rules change, so always confirm requirements with your state's department of insurance. All content belongs to Aegis or its licensors and is for your personal use while working with Aegis. Do not copy, sell or share it.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Services. That includes trying to access accounts or data that are not yours, interfering with the site, scraping, uploading harmful code, or using the Services for anything unlawful.
Text messaging terms
- Program: Aegis Financial recruiting and onboarding texts.
- What you'll get: application follow-up and interview scheduling, onboarding reminders, study nudges and team updates, including automated texts.
- How to join: check the texting consent box when you apply on aegisfinancial.net or create your portal account, or turn it on from your portal Account page. Consent is optional and is not a condition of applying, joining or any purchase.
- Frequency: message frequency varies.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You'll get one final message confirming you've opted out.
- Help: reply HELP, or email austinchild98@gmail.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- See our Privacy & Security Policy for how we handle your information. Mobile opt-in data is never shared with third parties for marketing.
Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not promise the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Aegis and Child Holdings LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to one hundred dollars ($100).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and Aegis consent to that venue.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
